Ketamine Assessments & Microdosing

Ketamine Services Offered

Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) Assessments

  • A KAP assessment is a medical and psychiatric evaluation done by a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to determine if ketamine is a safe and appropriate option for your mental health care. It includes reviewing your history, current symptoms, medications, and safety needs. If appropriate, the PMHNP can prescribe ketamine and provide ongoing medical support during treatment.

Ketamine micro dosing

  • In addition to traditional KAP sessions, I offer medical assessments and ongoing support for ketamine microdosing protocols. This involves using low-dose ketamine at home on a regular schedule to support mental health, guided by a personalized plan.

How does ketamine help with mental health?

🧠 1. It Works on a Different Brain Pathway

Unlike most antidepressants that target serotonin, ketamine acts on glutamate, a key neurotransmitter involved in mood, learning, and memory. This leads to faster results—often within hours or days.

🌱 2. It Promotes Neuroplasticity

Ketamine helps your brain form new connections and break out of rigid, negative thought patterns. This "reset" allows for new ways of thinking, feeling, and healing, especially when paired with therapy.

💬 3. It Helps Access Deep Emotions

In a therapeutic setting (like KAP), ketamine can soften emotional defenses, making it easier to explore trauma, grief, and stuck points that are hard to access in regular talk therapy.

🛑 4. It Reduces Suicidal Thoughts Quickly

Ketamine is one of the few treatments shown to rapidly reduce suicidal thinking, even when other medications haven’t worked—making it a powerful tool in crisis situations.

🌈 5. It Supports a New Perspective

Many clients report feeling more connected, clear, and emotionally open after treatment. Some describe ketamine as helping them “see the bigger picture,” “feel like themselves again,” or “break out of the fog.”

✨ Who is a Good Candidate for KAP?

You may be a good fit for KAP if you:

  • ✅ Struggle with depression, anxiety, PTSD, or trauma that hasn’t responded fully to traditional treatment

  • ✅ Feel stuck in therapy and want to go deeper

  • ✅ Are open to inner exploration and guided emotional work

  • ✅ Want a holistic, evidence-based approach that supports both mind and body

  • ✅ Are looking for something beyond just medication

  • 😵‍💫 Blurred or double vision

  • 💬 Difficulty speaking or focusing

  • 💤 Fatigue or drowsiness after the session
